01/05.  APPOINTMENT OF TOWN MAYOR

It was MOVED by Cllr A Rusby, seconded by Cllr P Hand-Davis and RESOLVED that Cllr Mrs B Hinchliff be appointed Town Mayor. 

 

02/05  APPOINTMENT OF MAYOR ELECT

It was moved by Cllr D Harrison, seconded by Cllr JB Lucas and RESOLVED that Cllr Mrs N Collett be appointed Mayor Elect.

 

03/05. APPOINTMENT TO COMMITTEES 2005/2006

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor are members of all committees, as per Standing Orders.

06/05. TRANSFER OF JUSTICE LICENCE

For information, Harvey Ownsworth has applied for transfer of Justice Licence, 192 Green Road, Penistone.

 

07/05. PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT – MILLHOUSE GREEN

Cllr Collett spoke on the lack of Playground facilities in the Millhouse Green area and moved that the Town Council request assistance from the Parks Officer, BMBC to improve the play area.  Seconded by Cllr JB Lucas and RESOLVED that a letter be sent to Jo Birch. 

 

08/05. ACCOUNTS PAID

Moved by Cllr R Hinchliff and Seconded by Cllr A Rusby that the accounts for Penistone Town Council and the Paramount are paid.

 

09/05. MAYORS PARADE AND GALA

This year Mayors Parade and Gala is on Sunday 12th June 2005. A rota was circulated asking for   volunteers to man the gates.

 

10/05. INVITATION TO OPENING OF SPRINGVALE PLAY AREA

Councillors are invited to the opening of the children’s play area and multi games court at Springvale on Saturday 21st May at 11.30am.

 

11/05. SUSPENSION OF STANDING ORDERS

At the close of the meeting the Mayor, Cllr B Hinchliff formally thanked the outgoing Chair and his wife for their work over the last twelve months.
