Penistone Town Council has no objections to the above applications.

 

1854        Demolition of existing buildings and erection of dwellings.

Land at Manchester Road and Birks Lane, Millhouse Green

The Town Council objects to this application.  This area is designated for light industrial use and any change is departing from the UDP.  Concerns were made about the proposed number of dwellings on the site and the further impact that increased traffic will have on the  Manchester Road. A letter of objection had been received from a member of the public.

Land adjacent the Old Millhouse, Millhouse Lane, Millhouse Green

The Town Council raised concerns about the impact of the increase in traffic on a very narrow lane.

 

1945        Erection of 15m high floodlight with telecommunications, antenna and dish and four associated equipment cabinets.

The Council objects to this application as the light is very high and will emit excessive light pollution which will be intrusive to the neighbouring residential area.
