The Town Council has no objection to the above applications.

 

146            Change of use from residential (C3 to childrens day-care nursery (D10 The Queens, Sheffield Road, Springvale, Penistone for Mrs S J Hepplestone.

The Town Council would like the Highways Officer to check the dimensions of the drop off and pick up point. They also would like assurances that the internal specification is suitable for the proposed ages of the children.

 

161            Erection of detached double garage 44 & 46 High Street, Penistone for Mr L Clark

The Town Council would like the Highways Officer to check the visibility space for access onto High Street.

 

195            Erection of 8 apartments. Barrier Glazing, Green Road, Penistone for Kontemp Homes Ltd.

The Town Council objects to this planning application as before.  This is a designated industrial area.  The three storey building is out of keeping with the area and the traditional two storey building.

 

240            Siting of three portakabins for use as reception, offices and drying rooms. Scout Dyke, Huddersfield Road, Penistone for Kingswood Learning & Leisure Ltd.

The Town Council has no objection to this application providing the temporary portakabin is removed when the work is completed. The application refers to both temporary and permanent structures.

 

267            Conversion of farmhouse and buildings to form dwelling house with attached two-storey garage/workshop and guest room and formation of new vehicular access to classified road. The Croft, Hillside, Thurlstone for Mr & Mrs T Savage.

The Town Council would like the dimensions of this application checking to ensure it is not contravening the two thirds of original size rule.  Concerns were also raised about the size of this development in a rural area.
