1503        Conversion of barn (unit 5) to form dwelling.  Unit 5 Plumpton House, Manchester Road, Thurlstone for Dr J Moxon.

1553        Creation of public sensory and heritage garden within graveyard. St John the Baptist Church, Penistone Agent = Penistone & District Community Partnership.

1554        Erection of rear single storey extension to bungalow.

5 The Croft, Hoylandswaine for Mr & Mrs P Darrand.

1563        Erection of extension to front porch. 19 Shrewsbury Road, Penistone for Mr & Mrs Pearson.

1577        Erection of rear single storey extension and side two storey extension to dwelling. Millbrook, Millhouse lane, Millhouse Green for Mr & Mrs D Allaway.

1579    Erection of single storey side extension to dwelling. “Myrefield House” Lee Lane, Millhouse Green for Mr C Paul.

1586        Erection of side and rear single storey extensions to dwelling. 347 Manchester Road, Millhouse for Mr & Mrs D Wales.

Penistone Town Council has no objection to the above applications.

1486        Formation of amended vehicular access/exit to surgery. 19 High Street, Penistone  for Penistone Group Practice.

The one-way system is an excellent idea.  However it was requested that the walkway from Pendon House be made safe for the many pedestrians who use it, many of whom are elderly.

1491        Substitution of 8 flats for 8 maisonettes in Block A (amendment to approved plans) The Saw Mill, The Green, Penistone for Tomahawk Developments.

A copy of the approved plans was not included with the application, so the amendment was not clear.  There was no site plan and concern was raised that the amendment would not decrease the number of parking places.

1514        Use of land for parking of four 7.5 gvw vehicles (Retrospective) Syke View, Hornthwaite Hill Road, Thurlstone for Richard Kent.

The Town Council observed that complaints have already been made about this site.

1544        Conversion of barn to holiday cottage. Dog House Farm, Cat Hill, Hoylandswaine for Mr B Clark.

The Town Council commented that this was an over development of the area+.

1548        Formation of window to first floor front elevation of Public House. White hart Public House, Bridge Street, Penistone for M A Couldwell

This is the reopening of an original window, however, the first window was arched, and members requested that the replacement also be arched to be historically correct.

1549        Erection of a block of four stables and tack room.

Land on the South side of Hartcliffe Road, Penistone for Mr Terence Naylor.

Concern was raised about the disturbance to land drainage, which could be affected by this development.

1557        Conversion of barn to dwelling (Amended Application) Crabtree Arena, Firs lane, Hoylandswaine for Mrs A Pears.

The Town Council would like to draw attention to the previous objections and complaints to this development.  It is not clear from the application which part has been amended.

1607        Erection of detached dwelling and garage (Reserved Matters)

Land adjacent 11 Mortimer Road, Cubley, Penistone

The Town Council reiterated concerns about access to the Highway.  The building would also be out of keeping with neighbouring properties which are all bungalows.

4.      Letter from Planning regarding Display of Penistone Heritage Industrial Trail Plaques.

A copy of this letter regarding the placing of industrial heritage plaques is to be forwarded to Mr Janney.
