DECLARATIONS OF A PERSONAL INTEREST

Cllrs B and R Hinchliff declared an interest in the item concerning Penistone Church Football Club.

 

PLANNING APPLICATIONS

 

827            Felling of one Sycamore tree within Tree Preservation Order No. 2/2006, 18 Hornthwaite Close Thurlstone for Graham Platts

There were no objections to this providing consultation has taken place with Tree Preservation Officer

 

828            Erection of a rear conservatory, 78 Green Acres, Penistone  for Mr Rusdale/Miss Callaghan.

There were no objections to this application

 

909            Change of use from dwelling (C3) to bed and breakfast (use class C1) Millbrook, Millhouse Lane, Millhouse Green for Mr & Mrs D Allaway.

Concerns were raised about access to and from this property otherwise there were no objections.

 

1021        Installation of ATM to front elevation of bank

1022        Installation of ATM to front elevation of bank (Listed Building Consent)

HSBC, 4 St Mary’s Street, Penistone, Sheffield

There were no objections to this application but concern was raised about the loss of the night safe service.

 

1029        Erection of 2 shelters for spectators and 4 lighting columns,

Hoylandswaine Bowling Club,  Haigh Lane,  Hoylandswaine

Concerns were raised on the affect that this may have on local residents and would like assurance that they are to be consulted

 

1030        Erection of pitched roof over sun room and erection of detached double garage.

Croft End, Cooper Lane, Hoylandswaine

The proximity of the proposed new double garage to no 50/52 Cooper Lane could be detrimental. Consultation with these residents must take place.

 

4        Possible Redevelopment of the Old Vicarage, Shrewsbury Rd, Penistone –

For information we have been informed that there may be an application forthcoming to turn this into a residential home.

 

5.         Letter from Penistone Church Football club expressing concerns on the development of the High Tec Foundry Site.

The new development is having an adverse affect on the boundary fence at the football club. The new steep drop could also be very dangerous as often balls go over the boundary.

Following discussion, it was moved by Cllr Collett, seconded by Cllr Lofthouse and agreed that the developers should be asked to stop work until the problem over the boundary is remedied and at the developers expense.  This should be forwarded to the planning department.

 

6          Letter from resident suggesting inappropriate use of grassland.

            For information, a complaint has been received regarding grassland on Westfield Avenue being used as grazing land by a couple of horse owners.  This has been passed to the appropriate department in Barnsley

 

7                    For information a letter regarding proposed alterations to an existing mobile phone base station at British Rail, Shrewsbury Road has been received.  This was noted.

 

8.         The following applications have been granted subject to certain conditions

 

Plan 2005/2142 – Erection of 24 apartments at South Yorks Home Improvements

 

Plan 2005/1854 – Demolition of existing buildings and erection of dwellings, land at Manchester Road and Birks Lane, Millhouse Green.
