1.  ABSENT

Apologies for absence were accepted from Cllrs P Starling, G Punt, A Simon and D Lofthouse.

 

DECLARATIONS OF A PERSONAL INTEREST

All declared a personal non-prejudicial interest in planning application number 1198.  This is an application for a Councillor and Employee. Cllr Bradbury declared a prejudicial interest and left the room, as did Cllrs B and R Hinchliff.

2. PLANNING APPLICATIONS

 

1109        Erection of side conservatory extension to dwelling. 23 Sheffield Road, Penistone

1149        Erection of detached garage. 5 Wood Kirk Close, Springvale

1254        Erection of single storey store room –‘infill’ extension to Hoylandswaine Primary School

 

Penistone Town Council has no objections to the above application.

 

1152        Display of 1 no illuminated double-sided freestanding advertising display unit.

Market Place, High Street, Penistone for Primelight Advertising Ltd.

 

Penistone Town Council strongly objects to this application.  The proposed site is in a dangerous place, which would block visibility and create a traffic hazard.  There is not enough room for this type of display.

 

1238        Erection of front Conservatory to dwelling.

The Cottage, Renald Lane, Hoylandswaine

 

Penistone Town Council objects to this application as an over development of the site.  It is also believed that a conservatory on the front is not permitted.

 

1198        Erection of rear conservatory extension to dwelling, 56 Hackings Avenue, Cubley

 

Penistone Town Council has no objections to the above applications.

 

 

3.  REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING GARAGES WITH ONE, 2 STOREY BLOCK OF 3 GARAGES. 32 THE GREEN, PENISTONE

 

A letter from Ruth Middleton advised the council that this application (0736) had been granted planning permission subject to certain conditions. The Town Council had objected to this application.
