this application, as this is an intrusion on the Green belt. Concerns were also raised whether this would
be for commercial or private use.

The Town Council raised
concerns that access to this garage will be across private land. A lease agreement with the owner of the land
must be sought before approval is given.
This access could also encroach on land earmarked for the supermarket
development.

The Town Council queried the
intrusion onto the Green Belt.

The Town Council objected to
this application due to the impact this would have on neighbouring residential
properties. There is insufficient
parking and the close proximity to a busy main road could be dangerous.
2. PENISTONE INDUSTRIAL
HERITAGE TRAIL.
Two signs to celebrate the industrial heritage of Steel making in
Penistone and surrounding areas are to be made by William Cooks. Mr Roger Janney who is co-ordinating the
project, has made a request for permission to erect signs. It was recommended
that we forward this information to the Barnsley Planners with the Town Council
support for the project.
