1437        Erection of side single storey extension to dwelling and detached garage. Newchapel Farm, Hartcliffe Road, Penistone for Mr & Mrs G Milnes.

Penistone Town Council has no objection to the above applications.

1289        Erection of a single-storey swimming pool building with conservatory connection to house. Cathill Foot Farm, Cathill Lane, Ingbirchworth for Mrs Kirk.

The Town Council objects to this application, as this is an intrusion on the Green belt.  Concerns were also raised whether this would be for commercial or private use.

1323        Erection of a detached double garage to dwelling. 18 Park Ave, Penistone for Mr J Youel.

The Town Council raised concerns that access to this garage will be across private land.  A lease agreement with the owner of the land must be sought before approval is given.  This access could also encroach on land earmarked for the supermarket development.

1425    Erection of reception centre, activity barn, dormitory wing and caving system with

associated parking and landscaping. Scout Dyke, Huddersfield Rd, Penistone for Kingswood Learning & Leisure Ltd.

The Town Council queried the intrusion onto the Green Belt.

1291    Change of use from retail (Class A1) to hot food takeaway (Class A5). 1-3 Wentworth Road, Penistone for Mr R Hinchliff

The Town Council objected to this application due to the impact this would have on neighbouring residential properties.  There is insufficient parking and the close proximity to a busy main road could be dangerous.

2. PENISTONE INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE TRAIL.

Two signs to celebrate the industrial heritage of Steel making in Penistone and surrounding areas are to be made by William Cooks.  Mr Roger Janney who is co-ordinating the project, has made a request for permission to erect signs.
