585            Erection of two storey side extension to dwelling. 1 Cubley Hall Stables, Mortimer Road, Penistone for John Wigfield.

598            Erection of two-storey side extension to dwelling. 10 Keats Grove, Penistone for Mr Craig Davies.

599            Erection of agricultural building. Quarry, The Bungalow, Cliffe House farm, Mortimer Road, Penistone for David Dawson.

Penistone Town Council has no objections to the above planning applications.

 

582            Demolition of existing asbestos garage & erection of detached stone built garage. 9 Ingbirchworth Road, Thurlstone for Mrs A Garside.

There were no objections to this application providing the asbestos is correctly removed.

 

594            Erection of 2 storey side extension to dwelling. 3 Tolson Court, Huddersfield Road, Penistone for Mr E Connoly.

It was felt there was insufficient information with this application. The type of building, its situation and historical nature must be taken into account.

 

619            Resubmission – Use of land for parking of four 7.5 gvw vehicles (retrospective) for

Skye View, Hornthwaite Hill Road, Thurlstone -  Richard Kent

The council reiterated previous comments that there had been complaints about this site.

 

702            Felling of one Sycamore and one Beech tree within Tree Preservation Order No. 11/1978. Phoenix Works, Penistone for James Durrans 7 Sons Ltd.

738            Light crown lift 4 sycamores and repollard 3 small multi stemmed Oaks within TPO 22/1999, Gardeners Cottage, leapings Lane, Thurlstone.

There is always concern about the removal of trees, however providing the advice of the tree officer is sought, there will be no objection.

 

804            Erection of detached dwelling (Outline) Land adjacent “Rotherwood” The Green, Penistone for Mr & Mrs B Midgley.

This site is adjacent a busy road and concerns were raised over access issues, with poor visibility onto a main road.
