Cawthorne Victoria Jubilee Museum
The beautiful village of Cawthorne holds the Victoria Jubilee Museum. Inside is a huge array of relics and memorabilia including war time relics, fossils, collections of moths, butterflies and birds eggs. Open from Palm Sunday to the end of October – Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holiday Mondays – 2pm to 5pm.

Conisbrough Castle
A Norman Castle built in 1070 and used for the setting of Walter Scott's novel, Ivanhoe. Many believe that is has one of the finest Norman keep anywhere in England.

Wentworth Castle
Wentworth Castle Gardens provides a wonderful day out for all the family. A secret Yorkshire treasure awaits you, hidden away in green rolling hills near Barnsley, less than an hour from Leeds and Sheffield. The estate was home to the former Earls of Strafford, and captured the imagination of the nation on the BBC series 'Restoration' in 2003. Gardens open every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday until the end of October (12-5pm). Open for Garden tours only, every Tuesday and Thursday at 2pm.

The Worksop Priory Church of Our lady and St Cuthbert dates back to 1103 with a 14th century gatehouse attached.

Wortley Top Forge
Restored 17th Century wrought-iron works with tilt hammers and working water wheels. Workshops contain later 18th Century and early 19th Century machine tools. A collection of working stationary stean engines are displayed. W.T.F. Model engineers run a miniature railway besides the river on the Sundy afternoons. Guided tour included.
