Penistone Births and Deaths Register
With effect from 13th June 2006, there will be a register of births and deaths at the Barnsley Connects Office, Shrewsbury Road, Penistone every Tuesday. Registrations will be by appointment only by contacting The Register Office, Barnsley on 01226 773085. We are hoping that it will prove to be a popular server, saving residents from the West of the borough the trouble of going into Barnsley where parking can be difficult. We run a similar service in Goldthorpe every Wednesday and this has proved to be very popular.

Monthly 'What's On' Leaflet
Penistone & District Community Partnership's Heritage & Tourism Officers produce a monthly 'What's On' Leaflet detailng events taking place in the area each month, featuring everything from coffee morning and bring & buy sales to organ recitals, local markets and air concerts.
The leaflet is available from the Community Regeneration Stand at Penisone Library during opening hours and from the Visitor Information Service at St Johns Churc on Thursday mornings from 1030am - 12.30pm.
