Penistone Well Dressing

The blessing of the watersupply, is an ancient annual ceremony, which took place this year from the 13th to the 19th June. On Sunday 19th June the parade was from the centre of Penistone down to the well at Bridge End where there was a display of morris dancing and afterwards the blessing ceremony took place. (pictures)
