The annual Mayor's Parade & Gala took place on Sunday 12 th June. The event was well attended as usual and the organisers would like to thank everyone for taking part. A spokesperson for the organisers said the weather could have been kinder towards the end of the Gala but it didn't seem to dampen the spirit of the day only everyone's clothes.
The organisers would like to take this opportunity to thank especially: Penistone and District Partnership, Penistone Three 9'ers, Penistone Town Council, Penistone Round Table, Penistone Ladies Circle, Pentagon Toyota, Dearne FM, Derek Hattersley & Son, Hoyland Fox, Beardsall Brothers, Mark Turner, Penistone Scouts, St. John's Ambulance, Brake Brothers, Naylor Myers, all advertisers and volunteers, all lorries in the Parade, Millhouse Green Male Voice Choir and Thurlstone Brass Band.
